Landsave Organics

Why Use Landsave Organics Premium Compost

Landsave Premium Compost provides both macro and micro nutrients. Our Premium Compost contains organic sources of NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) and supplies trace minerals such as boron, cobalt, copper, iodine, manganese, molybdenum and zinc.

Most importantly, our Premium Compost provides an inoculum of incredibly diverse beneficial microbes.

Landsave Premium Compost contains aerobic bacteria and fungi that will service the nutritional needs of the plant at the proper rate and time as they are required.

Landsave Premium Compost acts as a carrier for hundreds of millions of aerobic bacteria and fungi per gram of finished material. They stimulate soil digestion and therefore help complete the carbon, nitrogen and other nutrient cycles.

Our research is proving that premium compost, with its related micro flora, has a healing effect on plants and the soil. Microorganisms provide natural soil antibiotics, enzymes and vitamins as a by-product of their metabolism. The microorganisms in premium compost are natural enemies of fungi or bacteria that cause plant diseases and an effective tool in battling nematodes and other persistent problems.

We Cater For Specialised Blends

As part of a specialised service we can offer additional mineral inputs or other fertilizers to compost prior to dispatch such as: Rock phosphate, basalt dust, humates, and potassium, or other specific additions depending on your requirements.

Brent Burns Production, Anthony Quinlan BSc Organic Agronomist

The production of our premium compost is now under windrow management on a four and a half acre hardstand area.
Landsave windrows are intensely managed to ensure the thermal process is controlled in order to achieve a premium grade humified product.

No Frills Fertilisers

No Frills Fertilisers was established so that premium organic fertilisers could be offered at affordable prices. We are committed to organic and sustainable soil management and the improvement of nutrient density in the food  that we eat.

Developed by an organic agronomist, all products are organic approved inputs and are certified by Australia’s premier organic certifier NASAA.

The depletion of organic matter and trace elements from the soil is largely due to incorrect fertilisation methods and the overuse of chemicals. This system has stripped the soil of nutrients and minerals that are critical for plants to be able to produce food that is truly nutritious and of value to those who consume it. Much of the conventional food grown today is lacking in mineral density.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.

The No Frills Fertilisers range is aimed at those who are conscious about what they spray and spread on the soil that grows their food.

No Frills Fertilisers is a 100% Australian owned company and sources premium ingredients for its products from both local and international markets.

Taking on the Blackwood River Alexander Bridge to Augusta

SOMETHING AWESOME TO DO IN THE SOUTH WEST THIS EASTER! TAKING ON THE BLACKWOOD RIVER.

If you dig camping, fishing, bird watching, canoeing, wake boarding, dough-nutting, any water sports and beautiful Aussie land on a river that takes you to where the Southern Ocean has just meet the Indian Ocean, then you need to check out the Blackwood River, South West Australia.

The river begins at the junction of Arthur River and Balgarup River near Quelarup and travels in a south westerly direction through the town of Bridgetown, then through Nannup until it discharges into the Southern Ocean at Hardy Inlet near the town of Augusta.

I went there for the first time last Saturday with my mate Pete who owns a nifty little boat and my darling cousin Jodi. We drove from Busselton to a secluded campsite diverse in forest landscape on the east side of the Alexandra Bridge, 26 km north-east of Augusta .

It was a perfect sunny day and we launched the boat in from the campsites natural boat ramp and off we went. The river is banked by luscious Aussie vegetation, mixed forrest, agriculture and loads of birdlife. It has two river banks set up for picnics and launching your wake boarders from with plenty of space to let loose on your boat.

And that we did! Full pelt ahead passing Pelicans on floating platoons, house boats, knee scurfers, canoeists, dare devil 360 degree dough-nutting, nautical neighbours, wood ducks, big birds I can’t remember the name of and sandy cays.

We screamed into Hardy Inlet, tied up and went to the Augusta Hotel for a lovely feed. The stunning view over looks the river meeting the Southern Ocean who has just meet the Indian Ocean and we proceed to munch on a beef and reef, the new name for a surf n turf, most commonly known as a steak with prawns. This meal was delightfully delicious and even more so by the view and the natural vibe of the all crossing waterworks energy not to mention the perfect winds for kite surfers.

I was also lucky enough to try grass carting by some of the local kids who had made a limousine type cardboard cart, creatively decorated with drawn on lights and doors. And off they usher me down a steep grassy knoll with a parade of joyful yelps. I rocked this sport! Then it was time to quickly depart to my waiting boat crew and get back to the point of entrance before dark.

Alexander Bridge campsite is set beside the Blackwood River and is very popular with campers all year-round. Look for the sign off the Brockman Hwy, 10 km east of Karridale.

This weekend being the long Easter weekend is the perfect time to dust off ya outdoor gear, spruce up your boat with all the fruit (all the best attachments in Aussie slang) and get active. I wish you all a happy boinging bunny Easter feaster weekender.
Taking on the Blackwood River I give 4 out 5. SWT (South West Travels) TTX (TanTastic Times)
